More reasons to a shift in Education

We’re going through a very interesting period in the history of mankind. We witness accelerating changes which are reversing our habits in all orders of our lives. At home, at work, at school, etc,...Something is happening and we don’t know what is it and to where this is leading us to …This makes people feel uncertain and afraid. What has certainly contributed to this situation is the burst of new technologies in our societies which have turned off the social and economical structures of our developed societies , and banned off all concepts and attitudes thus initiating a process of social, emotional and psychological destabilization in which we’re fully involved.

Last century Education played an essential role in the creation of conditions for the new society. Educating its peoples it assured the conditions to build up a social and economical structure according to the new philosophical, sociological, political thoughts and technical and scientific discoveries. This structure still prevails today. Hence it was expected that Education highlighted these changes, teaching and training the individuals for mobility, for adaptation to new situations. But nothing of this occurred.

The industrialized societies have demonstrated stiff, unchangeable and reluctant to any structural change. Why was that ? Presumably because educated industrialized societies haven’t been formed for personal initiative and adaptability

Education is at stake. A new society is emerging , the knowledge society. Once more all stakeholders are grasping at education doors . Once more education is at the core of a whirlwind above all when knowledge production will be the most important activity in the near future.

Once more Education is asked to play a role in the rising society. Once more is time for Education to retrieve a true leadership and help building a society of accountable, well formed, ethic, cooperative and sharing individuals.

In this respect ITC can help teachers, learners, and all educators to achieve mankind fulfillment and construct a better world for all .It worths.

We intend to contribute with our means to deepen in this new field yet unexplored and full of challenges, using new methodologies in education applied in the elaboration of projects of life as our anthology. With our project we intend to learn that new technologies can be used for freedom and to open new paths for inter-cultural experiences , cultural diversity ,new European space and a new brotherhood.
